Role: The Superintendent leads the construction process for large-scale industrial, commercial and residential projects, ensuring all activities align with the established design, budget, and schedule. This role involves planning, scheduling, organizing, directing, and controlling all on-site construction activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large industrial, commercial or residential building projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Who You Are: You have at least 10 years of related or relevant experience as a Superintendent. Specific project experience should include food processing, distribution, residential, commercial, mixed use and warehouse facilities. Experience in site development of sites between 15 and 100 acres and working in tight urban core environments would also be relevant to this role.

You have high standards for safety and the well-being of all site workers. You have excellent communication skills and work productively with others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field and site management of the project(s) and all project activities.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
  • Lead site meetings, maintain clear communication, and resolve conflicts or challenges as they arise
  • Work closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to maintain open communication, anticipate challenges, and meet project requirements
  • Manage and motivate site crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to align with project timelines and standards.
  • Manage resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local building codes and regulations

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in construction site management
  • Skilled Trade Certification preferred
  • Ability to travel within the country
  • Dual citizenship Canada/USA is an asset but not required

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong delegation skills with the ability to set expectations and monitor progress.
  • Good physical condition and stamina.
